While you were navigating the challenges of the last year, we were busy building features and experiences to support you through the ups and downs. This post is going to take a look back at the exciting updates we delivered over the past year to ensure you’re getting the most out of Solink. Some of you might already be familiar with a few of these updates, but we hope you also discover something new, too!
Many of these updates were born from feedback shared with our team during customer training sessions with our customer enablement team or in-app chat conversations with our support team. Your stories fueled our drive to deliver innovative features that help you achieve your business goals and objectives.
Let’s dive in and take a look!
Navigation and performance improvements
Last year forced you to find creative solutions to challenging new problems and we wanted to ensure one of those challenges wasn’t finding your way around Solink. We introduced shortcuts to view all cameras associated with an event and open up to 16 cameras for live video viewing. We even went under the hood and reduced the time to load Solink's event player in the web app by over 90%. These handy features are aimed to get you out from behind a desk and back serving your customers as quickly as possible.
Achieve greater visibility in all aspects of your business
When it comes time to take a deeper look at your business, Solink’s dashboard can now rank your employees or locations across important metrics like speed of service, refunds, or discounts. We give you the tools to go from a high level overview right down to the underlying transactions that hide beneath concerning anomalies in a matter of seconds. Dashboards show you areas to review, and quick access to the associated video shows you what actually happened. Learn more about Solink’s Dashboard by booking a training session here.
We supercharged your cameras by adding person or vehicle detection to the motion search tool to help you pinpoint important moments of video. Whether you’re doing contact tracing for a local health unit or tracking down a third party delivery driver in the parking lot, motion search has the power to help overcome today’s realities.
Better protect your business with Solink’s video alarms
With no new equipment or technical expertise required, you can use your existing cameras to alert you of motion activity across all of your locations where Solink is installed. This will save you time trying to figure out if an alarm is a true emergency, avoid extra security-related costs like fines for false-alarm dispatches, and give you peace of mind knowing you're protected.
That's not all! Here are few more features released last year that you should definitely check out:
- We revamped your notification inbox to make it easier to find important alerts.
- Upload a floorplan to have a bird's-eye view of your location and quickly find additional camera angels related to an incident.
- Quickly jump to an exact date and time before loading up cameras to save yourself precious seconds.
- Reports found a new home on the Events page along with a few other interface improvements.
What's coming up next...
Your feedback has driven additional development in our video alarms offering and soon we’ll be announcing a new service that gives you 24/7 monitoring with video verified dispatch to local emergency services. We can't wait to share this revolutionary new service with you, so stay tuned for more details coming soon.
